I have a file that is larger than 2 gb which I cannot save, despite my hard drive not nearly being full. How can I save the file without having to drop the resolution?

hello to save files greater than 2GB you need to save as  a PSB file for large documents not as a conventional PSD.

I believe Layered Tiff file size limit is 4GB bigger requires the use of PSB.... Most Image file formats top out at 2GB.
