AE CC 2018 Cant import .aec file C4D

Hello,

I have exported from c4d an aec file and need to open it up in after effects. Although I cant, a while ago, after effects would give me an error message when trying to import it (i forgot to screenshot it though). But now nothing happens at all. I think i have the c4d importer plugin installed correctly as well as the format plugin (not sure if that is related). I have ae cc 2018, c4d r18 and a macbook air with mac os high sierra 10.13.2

Would you check the plug-in path of Cinema 4D Lite? This reference would be usuful.
