Acrobat Pro DC crashes/locks up constantly

I have been dealing with this continually from both Sierra and now High Sierra 10.13.2.

I have repeatedly sent the crash notice to apple and adobe when requested.

I can really do very little with this software as even just printing or going to another page causes it to not respond and the pinwheel of death.

Removing and reinstalling does not fix any issues.

Please help.

Hi Lon,

Sorry for the delayed response.

Are you still facing this issue? If yes, try troubleshooting steps given below:

1-  Update Acrobat to the latest patch using check for updates option given under Help menu, reboot the machine and check.

2- If that doesn't work, try resetting preferences for Acrobat: How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

3- If step 2 doesn't work, try disabling extensions > click on the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the screen > System preferences

Click Extensions > uncheck the box next to the extension to disable it, reboot the machine and check.

4- If issue still persists, try troubleshooting steps given in this link: Troubleshoot Mac OS 10.x system errors, freezes | Adobe software

Thanks,

Shivam
