Flexible font width (or horizontal text scaling) in tabbed or table environment

I'm creating an index of street- and place names of a map we're making.

I've imported the index from xml, and alligned page number and grid identifier using tabulators.

However, a few names are so long that they extend beyond the first tabulator.  Most of these will fit if I compress the names horizontally to 85%.

Is there a way to make Indesign do this automatically for me, say, that it will scale the text horizontally untill it fits, unless a compression rate of less than 85% is needed.
