Using "Find" feature in a document no longer working properly.

Hi,

When searching for a word in a pdf, it used to work fine and the results were shown as the highlighted word and you could click for the next highlight.

Now, as you can see in the image, it "highlights" using a blue box around a body of text and if I click next, the blue box moves a little bit further on the same page and does not go to where the word next appears in the document - in this example word searched for is "energy".

I have searched for a manual update to adobe but there are none. I have uninstalled and re-installed the program, used CCleaner and rebooted the laptop to see if this resolved the issue but no.

Any suggestions?
