Crash test: batch process

I'm trying to make a reproducible PARM/MRAP test case to send to Adobe. In trying to replicate a problem my client is having without using the client code, I've made what I thought would be an equally-functional pared-down example, but it causes a crash instead of the PARM. Though, I suspect these are very related.

I put the entire file set together in this drop box link: Dropbox - Crash Test.zip

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Run the script and output the 4 record files to 'dest' folder.
  2. You can run it multiple times consecutively
  3. In an already-open document, or a new document, draw something using the Blob brush
  4. Run the script again
  5. It crashes!

Instead my clients report seeing the PARM error after having made edits to some document, after which running the script becomes unreliable to the point of needing to restart Illustrator anyways.

In my case it's an entire crash.
