    Re-creating an effect

Does anyone know how I could re-create the shadow effect see at the jawbone site (see link)? The black background seems to cast a shadow on the white midsection of the page.

I can create a black rectangle, punch out the middle and create the shadow effect, but I don't know how to wrap it around the perimeter of a table in Dreamweaver which carries the text and imagery of the html page.

Any help with this would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Try using the Inner Glow setting (light grey) on the white rectangle,
increasing the softness a bit, too.

Kelley, thanks for the tip. One more question, if you can help:

If I create the graphic in Fireworks you're talking about, can I apply the image as a layer within a table cell? The reason I ask, I am not sure how I can apply the text of a page on top of the fireworks gif or jpg.

Make the image the background of the table cell. You would never want to
put absolutely positioned elements directly into table cells.
