    Struggling with Creating an External Link for Navigation

      If anyone can help I would be forever grateful. I have spent five hours on this and can't believe there isn't an easy to way to create a navigation bar in Flex3 with external links. I have bought Flex 3 Cookbook and was able to make a link with a text box. But I really just want a simple link going to external website. I found some great information in this forum for the same type of thing with a text box. So any assistance would be most appreciated. I am entirely a new user trying to learn flex in the flex builder3. Take care - Jlie

          so you have a label/text field to display the link text right?

          now call the following function on its click event.

          private function goToURL():void
          var link:URLRequest=new URLRequest(webURL);

          i expect you to know how to call a function on click event of you label/text object. if not please paste your code here and i will suggest you.
