Why is Adobe Creative Cloud Sign In Page frozen?

In trying to install Photoshop, I double-click on the Photoshop Installer dmg and the Adobe CC sign-in box appears (asking for Adobe ID and Password) but I am unable to type anything in it. Any clues how to resolve this?
