    Creating custom styles/skins

    Olof Brickarp Level 1
I work as a web designer/graphic designer at a company in Stockholm, Sweden. We have recently started working with Flex and it have worked out great. As I'm the only artist here, it's my job to create all the graphics, including the Flex skin.

So far I have been editing the existing skin (in Flash) and added new assets by duplicating the current ones (like buttons for instance). It seems to work just fine but I know that I one day probably will have to create something more custom than this. On top of that it would be nice to get a hold of the workflow and not being locked to editing existing content all the time.

I have tried to find a guide that explains everything but I can't find anything. The main thing I can't get my head around is how you create those "custom" guides used to determine how to scale assets. The gray, dashed guides.

So if anyone know of any great "getting started" tutorial, I would be forever grateful.
      Many thanks in advance!

      Kind Regards,
