    Streaming Audio

    Matt Gifford
      Hi guys.

I want to work on an AIR app that will contain (among other things) streaming audio.
The problem is, the live feed is a .ra url, sent over the rtsp protocol, and as a result, I haven't found any clues if FLEX can handle the RealPlayer feed, even through a URL request.

Can anyone help? Is this even possible?

      Many thanks

ActionScript 3.0, Flash Player, and AIR support sound files that are stored in the mp3 format. They cannot directly load or play sound files in other formats like WAV or AIFF.

My first guess would be to embed a browser control that contains an html
file with a link to the ra file.
