I have 120 GB of empty space on my D drive, I've set the install map to my D drive.

How much free space do you have on your boot disk.  Downloads normally are downloaded to your user ID file space.  Photoshop's download size is around 1GB in size around 1GB in size and once downloaded it will be unpacked and installed.  The normal install location is in your OS programs Files tree on you boot drive. Error code 120 indicate your disk filled.  I think the disk would be your C disk that fills not your D disk.

Are you using a Mac.  I do not know what you mean by "I've set the install map to my D drive".
