Erro ao abrir arquivos .pdf no Reader DC 18.009.20050

Em uma instalação limpa do Windows 10 Home 64bits atualizado (1709), eu instalei o Adobe Reader, a instalação concluiu com sucesso, ao abrir qualquer .pdf, aparece uma mensagem de erro:

Agora, se eu tentar abrir o .pdf no Edge ou no Firefox, ele abre normalmente.

Já reinstalei o Adobe Reader, já corrigi a instalação pelo próprio programa, já baixei os .pdf novamente para assegurar que não estavam corrompidos e já mandei o programa programa procurar por atualizações. Fora o erro de tradução na mensagem dizendo "Ocorrey".

As you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 2018.009.20050, it is an old version.

Try to update the application to the latest version available.

Open the application and go to Help > Check for updates.

Also, try once the troubleshooting steps mentioned here Resolve damaged document error when opening PDF files.

Try once to create a PDF from the Word file and check you can open the file
