Hello:
I'm trying to move off an old PC where CS5.1 works fine onto a new laptop. After installing on the laptop from my original 5.1 install disks it is unusable. The fonts in the menu bars and icons displayed are to small for me to read.
Both the PC and the laptop are running Win 10. The displays are set at:
Size of Text, Apps and other items: 175%
Resolution: 1920 X 1080
One difference is that the PC (where life is good) was originally a Win 7 box that was upgraded in place to Win 10.
Any help getting the laptop installation of PS large enough to read and be usable would be *greatly* appreciated!!!!!
Thanks
John
To use windows scaling with Photoshop CS5.1 you need to launch CS5.1 using a Windows shortcut the override the application scaling display and use System(Enhanced). However if the laptop's high resolution display only displays 1920x1080 pixels 175% or 150% may be too much a 125% scaling would be better. Photoshop requires a 1024x768 display a least. When you scale a 1920x1080 200% it becomes like a 960x540 pixels display 175% its like a 1097x617 pixel display 150% like a 1280x720 Display 125% a 1536x864 Display. You may find 150% Works OK. I use 150% on my Surface Pro 3 with CC 2014 its 2160x1440 216DIP display becomes a 1440x960 Display
