Need to build a new desktop for AE and Premiere in dynamic link, and looking for recommendations for 4k sfx capable workstation. My current desktop is now 3yrs old and bumping up ram to Ddr3 32G has not improved preview or render speeds for complex projects.
Looking at 128G Ram, m2 NVMe drives, Gpu nvidia 1080 ti or Titan, dual or single cpu? mb?
Was looking at benchmark tests on Puget Systems site yet all their tests are only with 16G of RAM, which is not enough for any specialised production work which kinda invalidates their tests.
From those tests I was looking at an Intel 8700 cpu, however socket 1151 boards only have 4 ram slots.
Really appreciate some advise here!
