Timeline gets glitchy when opened on different Macs

We run post-production on 3 different Macs with Premiere Pro CC 2018:

      1. Mac Pro (Late 2013)

           OSX El Capitan

           version 10.11.6 (15G1510)

           3.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5

           32 GB 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC

           AMD FirePro D300 2048 MB

      2. Mac Pro (Mid 2012)

           OSX El Capitan

           version: 10.11.6 (15G18013)

           3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon

           32 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC

ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB

      3. iMac 27 inch late 2013

           OSX El Capitan

           version 10.11.6

           3.4 GHz Intel core i5

           32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

           NVIDIA GeForceGTX 775M 2048MB

Our projects are becoming corrupted after Mac #3 opens them. We are using HD and 4k footage from the Panasonic GH4 and Sony A7RII, with Lumetri color

There are digital glitches and artifacting in the playback and the exports.

      - Some clips say "media pending" indefinitely

      - Export with media encoder has glitches.

      - Export with Premiere works sometimes, and exports sometimes have digital artifacts.

      - Our older projects seem to be unaffected.

      - Not sure if Mercury Playback Engine GPU or Mercury Playback Engine software only has an effect on the problem.

      - We use a high speed video server that has been working well for over a year with no problems.

You stated that your projects are becoming corrupt after opening on Mac#3. So the other systems (Mac#1 and Mac#2) are opening the projects and media fine with or without glitches?

If you are not migrating the Cache from system to system, Premiere has to regenerate a lot of those missing previews, peaks, etc. If they are larger projects you might get Media Pending for a while. If it never resolves and media pending seems to never end, there can be issues with the install, video card if using GPU Acceleration or even issues with the drive that your using.

          • If GPU acceleration is on Mac#3, try temporarily disabling the GPU Acceleration under your Project Settings. Restart Project/System and try opening fresh project again. The different GPU's across the 3 Mac might be causing some sort of issues. One might be corrupting files. Also check that your GPU drivers are updated on all machines. Mac's can be little touchy with the GPU thing.

          • Run Drive check/repair on the drives you are using to verify there is not an issues with a corrupt or failing drive.

          • I've worked media from those camera before and they should be very stable, however, if there was some type of mixed media issue, transcoding your media all to one format and FPS tends to smooth out a lot of workflows and fix a lot of issues.

I'm looking at those specs, and noting the two that 'work' together are both AMD GPU's, and the one that isn't is an Nvidia GPU.

So ... Kristian's suggestion of turning off the Mercury Accel in #3 would tell us if there's project data based on the GPU in the files that's causing the issue.

I'm having the same problem here at the office.  3 computers, only the computer who started the project works.  They other one have massive glitches at playback and render.  All NVIDIA cards.

              Datas all on Dropbox disk.

              It drives us crazy here.
