Can this function be made more visible and not have it buried in the preflight/options menu?

Would be great to see this in the tool bar so it can be seen for every PDF file that is opened - basically show the green check if all is good or the yellow warning if these settings are not set as they should be.

Speaking of - why are these three settings not set as a default when Acrobat is installed to the values marked as correct in the Display Settings Alert window?

Use local fonts - unchecked

Overprint preview - on always

Show art, trim, and bleed boxes - checked

If these three settings are critical enough(they are) to have a preflight menu dedicated to them, then make the application use these settings as a default for a fresh install.

Thanks for considering.

John

Hi John,

Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. As per the description above, you want few functions added in the Preflight menu options, Is that correct?

The Preflight tool analyzes the contents of a PDF to determine its validity for print production and a variety of other conditions that you can specify. The currently available options are designed and UI behavior and changes cannot be made.

We will highly appreciate your input to request new features or suggest modifications to existing features using the URL Feature Request/Bug Report Form

To know more about Preflight feature and Profiles, please refer to Adobe article Analyzing documents with the Preflight tool (Adobe Acrobat Pro)

Feel free to update this discussion for any further assistance.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
