    Protected Movie

    TexasPanther
I have taken over the responsibility for a website with Flash content and have been asked to edit a Flash movie. Flash 8 will not open the file and the message that I get is that a Protected Movie can't be opened. I am not very familiar with Flash but is there a way for me to edit the Flash movie or do I need to just eliminate it and put in a static image? Thanks.

You can edit SWF files with some tools like this:
          http://home.flashdig.com

But of course it is suitable if you need to bring some minor changes
like editing graphics, text, sounds or actions. For complex animation
editing it is better to use FLA file.
