What is the workflow for exrtracting several audio files from one big audio file?

I work as a voice over-talent, and sometimes I get quite big e-learning jobs. I know that there is a function in Pro Tools that can detect and extract files from silence between audio i a long file. Is that possible in Adobe Audition?
