    Problem exporting slices

    choirellie
This issue only started occurring yesterday and only in some cases. Therefore, I'm guessing I inadvertently changed some setting that is causing the problem. Here's what the problem is:

I create a slice in my FW document/design. Let's say the dimensions of the slice are 200x400pixels. Then I export the slice by right clicking on it and selecting "Export Selected Slice". I save it to where I want it go.

Then when I open the jpeg or gif I just created in another program (Dreamweaver or a browser), the dimensions are completely changed perhaps 51x67 pixels.

I have gone through many different settings and compared against FW files where this is not happening and I can not figure it out.

Has anyone run across this and/or know how to reset whatever might be the cause?

      Many thanks!

Could be your resolution perhaps. Open a PNG and then head to Modify > Canvas > Image Size. Towards the bottom of the prompt, check to make sure the resolution is set to 72 DPI.

Go to File > Image Preview and make sure the export size is set to 100%

Thanks Jim! That was the problem. I'll be sure to check that going forward. I'm not sure why it suddenly starting defaulting to something other than 100%, but glad to know what was causing this!

You're welcome. FW remembers the settings the last time an object was
scaled in the Image Preview window and then saved. Also, keep in mind
that multi-page documents can have their own scaling on a page by page
basis, so make sure to check your pages as well if you're using that
                feature.
