Camera raw incompatible

When I started my workday today, the camera raw filter in Photoshop CC 23018, latest update installed, worked fine. Then for reasons I cannot fathom, I began to get the error message that the camera raw filter was not compatible with this version of Photoshop. I Googled the subject, found the forum thread that dealt with this issue, downloaded and installed the CR update and still got the error. Then I deleted PS preferences and still got the error. Then deleted CR preferences and still get the error. Being a camera raw filter junky, I use it numerous times every day with zero issues until now.

Having done all I know and can find out to do, can anyone tell me how to fix this issue?

Thanks to those who know more than me,

Joe
