Small, itty-bitty image display when opening from camera raw

For reasons unbeknown to me, when I click on "open image" after making adjustments to a raw image in camera raw, the image opens at 1% — which means extra steps in workflow to enlarge enough to finish processing as a psd. Is their any way to fix this?
