Delete From Disk

I am trying to create space on my Mac desktop. I have deleted photos in Lightroom but they still appear in FInder. I have been pressing "delete form disk"

Do they still appear in the same folder location as they are in Lightroom? Many people have multiple copies of their images on their computers as by default Lightroom copies files to a new location and they might have the same images imported through the built in photos apps.

This can also happen if the folder has Read only permission. Check all of the folders and make sure they are set to Read & Write permissions.
