    Flash Player: access to current windows user

    Smily1979
      Hello community.

      Is there a chance to get access to the name of the current user logged in Microsoft windows via flash player?

      The events in detail:

      1. Login with name and password on the operating system (OS)
      2. Check on LDAP server, if name and password are correct
      3. Response at the OS
      4. Select and display user in the Flash application

      Is that possible with the Flash player? What do you mean?

          The answer to my problem is the following solved with JavaScript and activated ActiveX:

          function whoIsThere()
          {
          try
          {
          Net=new ActiveXObject("WScript.Network");
          }
          catch(e)
          {
          return('ActiveX objects have to be accepted!');
          }
          try
          {
          User=Net.UserName;
          }
          catch(e)
          {
          User='a not registered User';
          }
          return('Login: '+User);
          }
          document.write(whoIsThere());
          //-->
          </script>

          It works!
