    Custom Toolbar Items

    maniac9999 Level 1
I created a Demos topic in Webhelp (using RH X5 HTML) to house all of the Flash movies referenced in other topics. I wanted to create a "Demos" button in the Toolbar, so I went through the wizard and chose two different graphics for "selected" and "unselected"buttons. When I save the skin and "enable" this button in the output, then publish the help, the demo button is displayed, but when I click on it, it doesn't stay selected - only on mouseover. Otherwise, the button is permanently "unselected".

      What did I do wrong?

      Thanks,
      Jim

          Hi Jim

You did nothing wrong. This is the way it works with custom toolbar buttons. The others remain selected because the Navigation pane changes. Usually a toolbar button you add does something momentarily, like display a page of links that will also change when your user clicks one of the links.

          Cheers... Rick
