What are the reasons could be for inability to copy keyframes (for example Rotation) from one layer to another?

But in some cases keyframes are still impossible to paste even if the name is the same. Paste attributes is gray. Help!

It is very important. I don't understand why sometimes I can copy keyframes, but sometimes can not?

Please post a screen shot (or two) of the Effect Controls panel and the keyframes you're trying to copy/paste from one clip to the next. There may something obvious in a screen shot that isn't from your description. For example, I imagine the effect you've keyframed has to be the same in the destination clip for the paste to work.

When I select keyframes:

If I select motion it copies all the keyframes and replace existing ones. I'd like to keep existing keyframes.

That is correct it replaces all the keyframes.

Make presets.

It's not the answer for the question: why Premiere does not copy keyframes? Is it a bug, one of many?

Works for me.

As you doing a lot of keyframing the project might be getting corrupt.

Make new one and import old one.

It works for me too. But with some footages does not. In the same project. I still can't catch the difference.

They looks identical. The same name of the effect (Motion). The same effects applied.

I put the screenshot in this topic above.

Preset also replaces the keyframes.

They don't for me.  Presets only add keyframes.

You are wrong. Just do the preset for motion position keframes and try to drag it on another clip with existing keyframes.

No he is correct: it adds the keyframes but sets all the other properties to the same value as in the preset.

It is the same as Paste Attributes for fixed effects.

Yes. When you save motion as a preset and drag it somewhere it overwrites all motion properties including existing keyframes if any.

It's working here for me.  Adding Motion presets only adds the new keyframes, it doesn't overwrite the current ones.

But if you have other properties set without keyframes they will be overwriten.

For example you have a preset for position

Want to apply to a clip which has scale set to say 150, applying the preset will set scale to 100.

I'm just not seeing that here.  Adding a Motion preset does nothing but add it's own keyframes, as it should.
