As long as you cancel within the fourteen days and make sure auto renew isn't on, otherwise you're forced to keep paying and paying until you can find a way to end the subscription. Adobe knows they have cornered the market on some of this software and get away with already charging exorbitant fees for it. I have the choice of paying $20.99 (now) for one app or $52 for all of them. It's crazy! If I don't keep paying, I will be charged for all the months I didn't use. Almost seems like extortion.

So you may be able avoid the CC price increase entirely, while still keeping your same CC tools, if you want – see this FAQ for more details:

(Anybody can get that offer.)
Alternatively, you mentioned not wanting to pay for all the months you didn't use the software... If that's typical of your usage pattern and how you prefer to go, then you could consider switching to a
