Good day,
I have recently purchased a year license via the student/teacher Adobe CC edition (an upgrade from my previous CS6 version).
Since upgrading, Adobe premiere and photoshop keeps crashing, not a regular "let's wait this out" kind of crash, but a hard crash, where it would bring my system to a complete still stand. This would stop videos playing in the background, mouse and keyboard functionality and a general still stand. A hard restart is the only way out of this.
Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating and I can't get any work done. As soon as I import any footage into my timeline, the above mentioned happens.
Things I've tried:
1.) Hard reinstall of Windows 8.1
2.) All updates on Windows and Adobe software
3.) GPU updates
4.) Reinstall and Download of all Adobe software
System:
i7-3770 CPU 3.40GHz
GTX750 2gb
16gb Ram
128gb SSD for OS
512gb SSD for workflow and some more drives for storage
Windows 8.1 Pro x64
Please help!!
Kind Regards,
Dirk
FIXED:
All I had to do was to disable my Internal display.
And boom! Sorted!

Uninstalled my anti virus, no luck. In fact, read the entire article and applied all actions, and still no luck . CS6 is working a charm though. 2017 & 2018, won't even open a new project now before freezing my computer. Also, I have upgraded to windows10.
So over it.

Any chances that it can be GPU related?
Drivers are up to date, but I'm starting to think my card is not sufficient.

You say you've tried all the Troubleshooter steps. Does that include 2K?

technically, on the student/teacher edition, you may only have one user. That is if I understand things correctly. I'll give it a go though and see what happens.

One user, but two activations.
I use that version myself.

So in other words, I can install it on my laptop and desktop, but only use one computer at a time?
If so, is there any way around it to use both at the same time?

I don't see how you can use both at the same time. Such divided attention would be...counter-productive.

LOL! I can definitely find use for two machines running at the same time- it's called multitasking.

Go for it.

It looks like you've got Steps 4A, B and C from below in place. How about 4D?

Thank you for you reply. My computer is dedicated to editing. No games or unneeded items are installed.
