Hello,

I have imported video into my sequence which I could also see in my program panel. Now I can't see it - program panel screen is black.

When I render it the cursor line moves but it doesn't really render or show anything... Capture.PNG

Any ideas what this might be?

Thank you

Make new project and import old one.

See how that goes.

Does it make any difference when switching between rendering in MPE hardware and software.

Thank you for your reply Ann,

Unfortunately importing the project into a new one didn't work for me...

I am sorry but I don't know what MPE hardware and software is and I also don't know how to switch it...

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers

Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

•nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

•ATI Driver Autodetect http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool

There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

And, finally, exactly what are you editing?

Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?

Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... A screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing - For Windows Internet Explorer press the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard, and then do CTRL-V to paste the screen print from the clipboard into a forum message

Try resetting the preferences:

FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:

Reset a workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
    • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

Hello Peru,

Thank you for your reply! I've tried what you said... Unfortunately this did not work for me either.

What I don't understand is that the clips right next to the ones that don't work (light blue clips show ,green clips don't show - see pictures), work just fine... And they actually render.... The green ones don't show and don't render! This doesn't make sense!

Anyway, i created another project and imported everything in there and started from the beginning... so problem solved for now, even if I had to re-do all the work

Thank you
