    Record Actions in Real Time

    UT Janet Level 1
What is the difference between recording actions in real time and not? I can't tell a difference in my recordings. If I purposely go too fast with my mouse movements both recordings in and not in real time appear the same.

This setting is under Edit | Preferences | Recording, Settings

      Thanks, Janet

          Hi Janet

          Here's the difference.

When you are recording with that option turned off, Captivate could care less if you click a menu, then walk away from the computer for 15 minutes, then return and resume recording. Each slide would still appear to be roughly three seconds long.

Now if you enable the option and record, Captivate runs a timer when you click. If you click a menu, wait for 25 seconds and click again, that slide is timed for 25 seconds.

          Cheers... Rick
