Hi,
My Lightroom classic desktop app installed on Mac will not allow me to sign in to sync with lightroom mobile. The sign in window pops up to sync with mobile, accepts user and password and then it just either closes or requests a sign in again. I read that having multiple DNS configurations may affect this but I only have one. Any help appreciated, thanks!

Hi emilyh,
Could you please provide your Help>>System info report from Lightroom? We'll check the exact version of Lightroom Classic installed on your computer and suggest next steps.
Thanks,
Akash

Hi I'm having an issue with my Lightroom Program on my laptop. Lightroom 5.7.1.
I cannot get it to sign in so I can sync with lightroom mobile. It comes up with the sign in box. I enter my details then nothing.

When Akash replies, you will get the same question-
"Could you please provide your Help>>System info report from Lightroom? We'll check the exact version of Lightroom (Classic) installed on your computer and suggest next steps."
Lightroom Mobile is not available for Lr v5.7.1 unless you have a Creative Cloud Subscription.
If you do subscribe, why are you not upgrading to Lr-Classic-CC v7.3.1?

I do subscribe. I have the photography package giving me lightroom and photoshop.
The reason I have 5.7.1 right now is my original laptop died a few months back so I'm using a spare that unfortunately is a little dated (my original laptop was win 10. This back up is win 7)

And what does the System Info show in v5.71-
License: = Creative Cloud, or Perpetual ?
Edit: And have you signed in with the Adobe CC Desktop App?

OK, so Adobe must have changed their policies sometime in the past, and my brief research indicates that no versions of LR-5 can have Mobile Sync. Version-6 and later updates are the minimum required.
And also to consider- you can only sync one catalog with one CC subscription, and that would be the Catalog on the laptop that 'died'.
I believe you will only be able to access the previously synced files by a browser opened at -
Quote from another forum thread-
Ok Adobe help desk just confirmed that Lightroom 5 will not connect to Lightroom mobile. Only Lightroom 6 (cc). Thank you all for your advice!
