    PS 2018 Brush problems

      Ack!

1 Where did the brush rotation wheel go? This is very handy when I have defined a brush that rotates and created a pattern on a background, and then want the brush to be at a precise angle to fill holes in this background. I want that rotation wheel back.

2 Some brushes use Shape Dynamics. I want that off, so I turn it off. I use the brush and the Dynamics come back on. This is a bug. This should not be happening.

3, I have made a brush with Shape Dynamics. This brush only rotates the brush. I dab. The first dab is solid, 100% opacity as desired. The second dab over that spot is at about 50-70% opacity. Why? I would think that opacity does not change. It is not set to change. Why does it change?

Photoshop CCScreenSnapz047.jpgHi , the rotation widget is at the top left of the brush palette - see screenshot. Is that what you are looking for?

Each brush has default settings that will apply each time you choose that brush. When you turn off Shape Dynamics, make a new brush saving that setting. Click the "new" icon in the Brush palette after opening it from the Options bar, or by right-clicking in the document - or at the bottom of the Brushes panel in CC 2018. Be sure "Include tool settings" is checked.

The brush your are using might have Opacity Jitter applied. Check Brush Settings panel > Transfer. If so, drag Opacity Jitter to 0% and again create a new brush with that setting.
