Problems: Saving and Fonts

Hey Guys,

im using Illustrator for a couple of years now, but i still cant handle two problems:

1. i have most times a problem when i want to overwrite my File, especially with huge files.
the error says something like this "This file is read-only or already in use by another user[...]"

I can only save it when i "save as.." and give another name to the file.

(Here the Error - in german language)

2. When im looking for a good font, the "font picker" is always starting with A (See Picture below).
No matter if the name of the Font i have selected begins with another Letter.
I wish my selected font would be the first in the list, when i select it and i can continue looking for the next fonts.
Is there any setting to change this?

Hope someone know, how to fix my problems.

Hi, the file is saved directly on my HDD. Im using Win 10 64-Bit.
