    PayPal and Contribute

    MelTMC
A few of my customes are starting to use Contribute to be able to update their own site. I have a site that i set up with Paypal shopping carts and the one thing I can't seem to figure out is how do you edit a paypal shopping cart button that already exist - not built in contribute- with Contribute. Is it possible to change cost and dropdown menus that were built in Dreamweaver in Contribute?
      Thanks,
      Mel

Maybe you can start reading the help files of Contribute:

          Editing a PayPal button
You can edit the setting you originally set for a PayPal button. For example, you might want to raise or reduce the price of an item, update the item name or description, select a different button image and so on.

          To edit a PayPal button:
          1. In the draft, click to select the PayPal button you want to edit.

          2. Select Format > PayPal Properties.

The highlighted button type for the selected button is the only item enabled in the pop-up menu.

          3. Click a tab in the Advanced options screen to select the type of information you want to update, and then make your changes.

          4. Click OK to save your changes.

I read the help files previously but i can't seem to select the paypal button in the draft. It is wierd...it will put cursor next to button but i can't get it selected. If I look under format button for paypal properties it is not there either. What am I doing wrong?
            Thanks,

If the existing paypal button wasn't made with the builtin button generator
in contribute, it won't be recognized.

              Choices-

edit the source to change the values using a third party code code editor

delete the existing button and insert a new one using contribute. That
button will be editable in the future.

If you know html, could specify Notepad as the app to edit source code in
Contribute 3. Homesite or Homesite+. Any text editor.

Editing web page source in an external application 3.11

Note: If your Contribute administrator has not enabled source editing, ...
In the Contribute browser or editor, view the page you want to edit the
