I am trying to work out a way of adding dynamic quotes to a
flash file then tweening them to fade in and out. I have put the
dynamic text into a movie clip with the following script -
var lv:LoadVars = new LoadVars();
lv.onLoad = function()
When I test the page (before i have tried adding any
animation) in the swf, the text does not appear but an output box
pops up with the content of my quote1.txt in it - "I feel enthused
and motivated after today."
The script is obviously working but does anyone know why its
not showing in the swf? Any help would be much appreciated. And any
tutorials on how to alpha tween dynamic text also would be great!
You never added it to the stage. The trace() function outputs
to the Output window in the Flash IDE. You need to add the text to
the textbox (myTextBox.text = this.myVariable;) to get it to appear
on the stage.
