I have a project with about 14 tracks of audio. When I saved the project, all the audio was working fine. I saved and quit Premiere to go and record a new temp voiceover in Garageband. When I re-opened the Premiere project, the video played fine but nearly all of the audio is not playing despite the fact that zero tracks were muted and the audio is not disabled. The weirdest part is that it plays one clip's audio which has three tracks on 7, 8, and 9— and oddly none of the other audio on 7, 8, and 9 play.
I suspect this has something to do with plugging and unplugging my audio interface for recording in Garageband... but I cannot for the life of me figure this out.
Fortunately, if I "Solo" all of the tracks, everything plays fine. This is a hacky solution though, so i'm curious if y'all can help me figure out what went wrong!
Premiere Pro does have a history of being finicky with USB audio. My best recommendation is to sell any such devices and switch to the mobo sound, or an installed sound card.
Yeah, I usually do just stick with mobo sound. But how do I fix this project?! I'm using the most recent version of Premiere, tried restarting my computer, and no dice.
Still having trouble, macks? Let us know.
