          Well first, I would stop the download. It's obviously going to fail anyway. Go to http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html and scroll to the bottom and uninstall your current Flash Player (you may have old players which are corrupt). Even if you don't think you have Flash Player, do this. I don't know if you have to reboot, but scroll back to the top and install whichever version you need. How are you trying to install it now anyway?

              You go to the site and it's still downloading? That doesn't makes sense. Start over - What browser(s) do you use?

              --------------------- UNINSTALL---------------------
              Browser: Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Safari, Opera
              1. download Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller - http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html (windows or mac) - install - read directions - reboot if asked - and -

              Internet Explorer/AOL
              http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/

              --------------------- INSTALL ---------------------

              Browser: Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Safari, Opera
              2. download Flash Player - http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash for - or -

              Internet Explorer/AOL
              http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/

              Where were you going to install/uninstall?

                I've had the same problem for a long time, I could NEVER run Flash Player on my home computer.
                However I've now bought a brand new computer (the other one was very old) and I thought this would increase my chances of getting Flash Player installed, but;
                I've tried running the AOL Flash uninstaller but get this error message;
                NSIS Error
                The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete.
                This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus.
                You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy.
                It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED)

                This computer is less than a week old, so I hope we can rule out a damaged disk or a virus (Eset anti-virus from day 1)
                What do I do now?

                  I've just done some searching on the support database, which suggested a solution:-

                  Follow the instructions to download the SubInACL tool from the Microsoft Download Center.
                  Install SubInACL.
                  Download the reset_minimal.zip file.
                  Extract the reset_minimal.cmd file to C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\.
                  *Important: Be sure that both the subinacl.exe and reset_minimal.cmd files are in the same location here: C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\.

                  The trouble is, when I do this and then check;
                  "that both the subinacl.exe and reset_minimal.cmd files are in the same location here: C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\"
                  -only the "subinacl.exe" file is there!!
                  Have I opened a can of worms here?
