The pencil is moving the canvas instead drawing only on Photoshop CC 2018

I've been recently going through a problem with photoshop, on my main computer, after the recent update (19.1.3). I'm using a Wacom 13HD and Photoshop CC 2018.

When I want to draw, I have to hold still my pen for a couple of seconds before it want to properly draw a line. If I don't wait, it just move the canvas instead. I've tried on different drawing programs (Paintoll SAI, Paint and Illustrator CC 2018) and even on another computer with the same programs, and it works perfectly fine. No matter what version or settings I choose either for the Wacom 13HD or Photoshop, the problem is the same.

Hi

The latest windows update (KB4093112)  has caused an issue with the Wacom tablet and Photoshop.

You can either - undo the update

or

Do the following:

1. Use notepad to create a text file and type in :

UseSystemStylus 0

2. Save the file as PSUserConfig.txt in the following location
C: > Users > Username > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 > Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 Settings

3. Go to the Wacom tablet properties and for Photoshop under Mapping  uncheck "Use Windows Ink"

That is it - all should now work well

My recommendation would be to leave the Windows update alone and to install the PSUserConfig,txt file as described in the previous post

Hi,

There wasn't an appdata folder under any usernames, but when I found it under program files instead, there is no settings folder in my 2018 Photoshop files. I tried to make a Settings folder just to see, nothing. There is a "Configuration" folder, no results either.

When I try to save the file and open the Adobe folder I can't find "Adobe Photoshop CC 2018".

Hello I’ve been have the same trouble however i don’t know how to use notepad and when I do uncheck the windows ink box it just takes away my pressure sensitivity where do I go for accessing notepad?

Hi if you disable Windows Ink you need to use the PSConfig.txt file to restore pressure sensitivity.

You will find notepad in Windows Accessories

Alternatively use the fix posted by Microsoft. In either case type exactly what is posted

Nope. Nothing. The thing is the Adobe folder isn't in Roaming. It has other adobe products I have installed but no Photoshop. (CC Animate not showing up either).
