This is just an observation and I'm wondering if other people have found this-
I have found that sometimes the unnecessary behaviors delay the significant ones. I have begun the habit of eliminating those.
For instance, let's say I have a scale behavior in a take. Another take starts slightly earlier, or ends later. Even though it's the same behavior, it is switching between takes automatically, which it should be. But I am making sure the take goes straight through, rather than vacillating between takes. Often if I have multiple takes, this happens a lot. So unless absolutely necessary, I use a complete take, rather than pieces of different ones.
Have something to add?
