Can't upload styles in photoshop

Every time I try to put a new style into my photoshop I get the error: "Can not place "Abstract Styles.asl" because no file sharing parser can open the file."

I tried in all different ways. My computer doesn't recognize the file in some way. So I simply can't click on it so it would load in as shown in the picture. Does anyone has the same problem and how do I fix this?

Which "different ways" have you tried beyond the New Style option in the Layer Style menu?

Just dragging in the styles from finder and the option to open preferences of the styles and there try to load them in.
