flash player was uninstalled by an anti virus program, now i cant download and reinstall

tile says it all. I was using a Cogeco Cable systems antivirus program that uninstalled Flash player on windows 10 with the company installed browser and it has turned into a severe headache trying to get it reinstalled. not using the edge browser.

See my reply above.  Flash Player is built-in to Internet Explorer on Windows 10.   You can try removing and reinstalling the last Windows Update that affected Flash and/or Internet Explorer.

Essentially Cogeco Cable's anti-virus should not be deleting the embedded Flash Player ActiveX on Windows 10. Microsoft considers this a component of the browsers and locks the files so users can't easily delete it (without jumping through hoops).  Since Microsoft embeds Flash Player ActiveX in IE and Edge on Windows 10 there is no separate installer to install it and all updates are distributed by Microsoft via Windows Updates.

You'll want to download Flash Player from the browser that you actually want to use.

Flash Player is a built-in component of Internet Explorer and Edge.  If your antivirus managed to uninstall those, that's more complicated, as they're not directly installable and we don't distribute installers for them.  ]

If that's what happened, I generally have good luck with removing and replacing  the last update for Flash Player that you can find under Settings > System > Apps and Features.  Once removed, reboot and then run Windows Update again to reinstall.

For Google Chrome, Flash Player is also built in, so removing and reinstalling Chrome might be the easiest solution.
