You could create the EmptyMovieClip only once, then load all movies onPress into that same clip; loading a new movie will replace the previous one.
Thank you for the reply. I should be more specific: Each .swf slides into the movie and wipes across the previous one eventually obscuring it. If I just load everything into one movie clip it will look as if the previous one disappears just as the new one slides in.
The way I have it now, I assumed each new swf would be put on a depth one higher than the one before. And it does, until I try to load a movie which had already been loaded into a previous layer. This is my problem...
you're using the same instance name (this.weddingClip) each time your button is pressed. that's a problem. to remedy, use
before creating another movieclip.
