I'm having problems with my images getting a strange haze over them when converted to a CMYK Jpeg for printing which is causing the colours to be completely wrong and dull. Is there any way of fixing this? I'm opening them to view in preview so maybe this isn't able to read these type of images.

Few (if any!) consumer-oriented applications have proper CMYK support.

If you see this in Photoshop, post a screenshot and we can probably figure it out.

Preview is not the correct application to judge the quality of CMYK files. You ask this in the Photoshop forum, so I assume you have Photoshop. Open the image in Photoshop and you'll see the difference.

What is the RGB image’s color space and what is the CMYK target space?
