LR crashes computer

Hi my Lightroom strated to crash the PC after upgrading to the newest version.

Tries to open the catalog. says it is locked.

when I delete the lock file, it opens, wants to access the file and then the PC crashes and reboots....

PC crashing is due to hardware malfunction, bad/corrupted/out-of-date driver somewhere, or bad/corrupted/out-of-date BIOS. Software applications, such as Lightroom cannot cause computer to crash.

I updated the graphics driver.

Reused a backed up catalog.

Still the same....

I need help here

Run diagnostics on ALL of your hardware. Make sure the fans are working. Make sure the motherboard has up-to-date bios and drivers.

The PC runs wonderful. It just crashes when I start LR

Since you show the error message, are you implying that if you click OK, then the computer runs, it just won't open Lightroom?? Or do you have to re-start the computer?

Man, I am at version 2000 in trouble shooting this.

Seems to run now with a corrupt database.

Downloaded capture one, may be that is more stable...
