Premiere Pro replacing original files with wrong footage in the time line????

Been having an issues where files that were captured from a Sony A6500 are disappearing in the timelin

and being replaced with other footage. Also today the original source footage for a goup of subclips was replaced by incorrect

footage.  Any ideas out there as to why this might be?

It seems like a weird issue. Clear the rendered files, media cache and check the issue. Here are the steps: FAQ: How to clean media cache files?

Is this happening with all projects?
