I was trying to update my copy of Lightroom classic this morning but the update keeps failing to install. After multiple attempts retrying, I keep getting a message with "Error: 5". So far my attempts to uninstall and then reinstall Lightroom classic have been unsuccessful, I just get an error saying "Uninstillation Failed."
Please help! I'm on an iMac running OSX.10.13.4.
After checking the logs I found I was getting error code 105. After trying all the solutions on this page:
Unable to install Adobe apps | Error 105
the very last one seems to have solved my instillation issues. Thank you for all your helpful suggestions!!!!

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

I've tried uninstalling everything cc, uninstalling the cc desktop app and cleaning my computer of CC files and restarted my computer.
The reinstall for lightroom still fails, as does photoshop now too. Now I have neither to do my work.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Johnnytangphoto, what error are you currently encountering when installing Photoshop and Lightroom Classic on the macOS 10.13.4 system? Are you still encounter Error Code 5?
I would recommend reviewing the install and installation logs to determine the exact cause of why they are failing to install. Information on how to review both logs can be found below:
