I just bought premiere last night so I can use it to edit my gaming videos, but every time that I try to import the clip it cuts it down from 50 minutes to 1 second and doesn't actually play. The file type is an .mp4 and it says that premiere supports it and its not like the file is corrupted because it plays fine outside of premiere, so I don't see what the issue is. I also tried putting it through media encoder as well and it does the same thing where its only a second long. Like the video is super sped up. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't want this to be a waste of money.

MP4 is a wrapper, what is inside YOUR wrapper - Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... A screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing - For Windows Internet Explorer press the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard, and then do CTRL-V to paste the screen print from the clipboard into a forum message

- when you analyze your file in MediaInfo and post a screen shot in the forum, do so in TREE view
