I am working on a pdf document with Adobe Gothic Std B and Adobe Gothic Std L. The document is supposed to be in Spanish, so I require the special characters with accent marks. I choose the characters from the "special characters" option under EDIT, but it makes the font Minion Pro. Nothing I do will make it change to one of the other fonts. I also tried changing the configuration to Spanish and "use available system font", but that will not work either.

Do you have access on your computer to these fonts? This is a requirement, having them embedded in the PDF file will not allow you to edit text in these fonts, you need to have the fonts locally installed. When that's the case, I have no problems adding accented characters to a document using Adobe Gothic Std L/B.
