Can I create an interactive type of lesson with Captivate: where something doesn't occur until the user selects an area? It doesn't progress unless the user rolls over text or rolls over a highlighted area?

In other words I do not want to progress or go to Slide 2 unless the user selects text, a click box, rollover image or slidelet?

Hi again

Click Boxes and Buttons will provide that type of functionality for you. They pause the slide until your user interacts with them.

Sorry, but Captivate offers no type of object that pauses until your user mouses over. That is something that would have to be done using Flash to create a special widget. Actually, I believe fellow Adobe Community Expert Paul Dewhurst has just such a widget at this link.

So visit the site and toss some change into Paul's tip jar and he will provide you with a download ability for the widget.

Cheers... Rick
