Import not loading some video (only audio)

Hi,

When importing some footage into my project, some of it works fine, but some only brings the audio file over.I have tried lots of ways to fix it, but unfortunately nothing has worked. I have cleared out the media cache (I think, by going to preferences>media cache>delete unused media cache). I have tried working from only my desktop (before it was from an external hard drive). Reimported all media. I think that's about it.

If anyone could help would be much appreciated, thanks!

What type of media?

Exactly how are you importing?

What number version of Premiere Pro?

What operating system?

I have the same issue. MOST of my media is now turning up as only audio waveforms. This didn't happen BEFORE the update, but I can't go back now because the program updated several of my projects.

I'm trying to import .mov files from a canon 5d markiii

importing through various routes. File, import. Drag and drop. Nothing works.

Latest version of premier.

Mac osx 10.11.6

I've lost SO much time trying to figure this garbage out.

Did you copy the entire contents of the card to your hard drive and then use the media browser to import the media?
